Djangology

The “Djangology” project pays homage to the famous French-Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt (1910-1953). Training, permanently composed by Massimiliano Sartori and Carlo Stupiggia on guitars, takes advantage of the precious collaboration with musicians united by a passion for the music of Django Reinhardt. It all starts in 2020 on the initiative of guitarist Massimiliano Sartori who, thanks to his father, he approached the music of Django Reinhardt from a very young age, starting from that moment on a path of personal study in the language of the manouche guitar.

The formation we know, and who performed in the context of Soave 2025 Guitar Festival, is composed of:

Massimiliano Sartori (lead guitar)
Stefano Ivaldi (violin)
Dave Kelbie (rhythmic guitar)
Carlo Stupiggia (rhythmic guitar)
Pippi Dimonte (contrabass)

It is a flexible team, always available to variations that follow the artistic choices gradually adopted, so some last minute surprises cannot be ruled out.

“Djangology” will still be the protagonist and coordinator of the musical entertainment in the courtyard of the Palazzo del Capitano
