Luca Olivieri
Luca Olivieri is defined as a great interpreter and an amazing musician. And it is! Born in Verona in 1962, he discovered the guitar at the tender age of three; since then a passion was born that grows over time, becoming a fundamental part of his artistic sensitivity and his way of being a musician.
The first approaches with the six strings, that happen between 8 and of 14 years, they are aimed at classical studies which allow them to acquire the first necessary and indispensable technical bases. The first jolt of the classic Luca, it is caused by a myth of many generations: Elvis Presley, from which he assimilates culture and voice. Soon, however, Luca's personality takes over, making him a unique performer and musician.
Bewitched by “Memphis Sound” abandons the classical guitar. The artistic influence of Scotty Moore, Arthur Smith and Duck Backer are fundamental to understanding how an Italian boy can end up falling in love with musicians like James Burton, Albert Lee e Brent Mason.
These years are years of study and evolution because it is not everyone's thing to venture and master the complexity of Brent Mason and Albert Lee's phrasings. It is precisely by accompanying Albert on the occasion of the editions 1997 e 1998 of the Soave Guitar Festival that Luca becomes not only a welcome guest, but often necessary.
In the 1999, always in Soave, here is the meeting with Jerry Donahue and Tommy Emmanuel. From then to today Luca's career has been one of continuous technical and stylistic improvement, which has as a natural consequence the great artist who will return to our stage, accredited today as one of the best European specialists (and not only).
His technique, its sound, his presence on stage, make each of his performances a unique and unmissable event. Try to stay still in the chair if you can…
