WALTER DONATIELLO 2026

Loose Strings
For the first time at the Soave Guitar Festival, Corde Sciolte is a very refined and innovative instrumental duo, which will certainly be appreciated by our public. The protagonists are Nunzio Ferro (guitar) and Andrea Resce (contrabass), who describe themselves like this:
“Corde Sciolte was born from the desire to go beyond limits, to create an organic sound, artisanal, made of identity and character. It is a hyper-minimalist fusion that links baroque architecture, a follie jazz manouche, Africa, South America and Ireland.
Repertoire & Concerts
Our repertoire is made up of original songs and reinterpretations with classical influences, gypsy, blues and sounds with a cinematic flavour.”
What we play is a melting pot of everything we study, we listen and we love.”
Here are some of the concerts they performed in:
Case Sparse Fest (Rocchetta in Volturno 2025)
Festival of Small Things (Monte Sant'Angelo 2025)
Santa Rita Room (Roma 2025)
Farina Room (Foggia 2025)
Universal Cinema (Cosenza 2025)
Collateral Maris Festival (Vieste 2024)

Of their first recording work "Beyond dreams and small stories"
(CD and online on all platforms from 25 March 2025) they commented:
«A record that enchants with its expressive depth and the way in which it transports the listener on a sonic journey made of emotions, images and introspection.»
Jazz-manouche.it
«Duo of very refined musical quality, bravura, interplay; repertoire that touches various styles and satisfies every musical taste"
Javier Girotto
The duo of Andrea Resce and Nunzio Ferro is a sort of "mental fusion" of styles, emotions, techniques and dynamics. The intersection of genres such as acoustic jazz, laworld music, classical and gypsy music gives this virtuosic project an identity all its own, particularly the inclusion of the melodic bow on the double bass, which is like having a third voice. Corde Sciolte is a joy for the ears and the soul, familiar but with a bold and new perspective.
