Palm Thing

Palma arrived in Soave from her native Puglia for the edition 2024 to get to know our festival and with the determination to earn an invitation to enter as a protagonist and take to our stage. He participated in the moments of entertainment in the courtyard of the Captain's Palace by performing on that stage, receiving convinced consensus and winning the sympathy of those who listened to her. He more than deserved his place on our billboard, and now we are happy to have her with us in this new edition.

Biographical note:

Daughter of art, with the guitar in his blood, he began playing at the age of nine under the guidance of his father Roberto, also an accomplished teacher and guitarist, having finished his studies at the “G. Paisiello” of Taranto, with top marks, he attends various internships and improvement and improvisation seminars with Alirio Diaz, Enrico Rava, Fabio Zeppetella and the UMBRIA JAZZ masterclasses 2002..

The encounter with the music of Michael Hedges led Palma to deepen the study of open tunings and New Age music, conquered by these new sounds and performance techniques, she begins to compose several pieces for acoustic guitar in fingerstyle style.

He has participated in various competitions and festivals, always receiving great acclaim from the public and music critics for his determination, the musical taste and artistic sensitivity of his performances.
His song for acoustic guitar “CRAZY DAY” was chosen by the record company Franco Serafini (Mina's arranger) and included in a compilation, In the 2017 publishes his first EP "Acoustic Dream", a work which is also highly appreciated on the web and by industry critics, In the 2018 participates in the FIM (Milan International Fair), In the 2019 opens the concerts of Peppino D'Agostino and Antonio Onorato, the intense live activity runs parallel to the teaching activity through masterclasses and seminars, Furthermore, Palma is a permanent teacher in music-oriented middle schools.

In April 2020 his second album is released

“BELIEVE”, available in all digital stores and in physical copy. In August 2020 vince he XV° “Emerging Guitarist Award” of the A.D.G.P.A. in Conegliano Veneto.
