[John Jorgenson] He is a great musician, friend of Soave and veteran of our festival. It is known both as an eminent guitarist of Gipsy JazzG and mandolinist BluegrassW than for his eclectic way of playing the electric guitar. which makes his live performances electrifying spectacles. His talent and his virtuosity that earned him a "GRAMMY AwardG" In the 2008, “ACM Guitarist of the YearG”Three consecutive times, inclusion in "100 Guitar HeroesG"And in the"100 Most Influential GuitaristsG" Of Guitarist MagazineW and in the "Album of the YearG" Of Guitar Player MagazineW with the HellecastersW.
In this edition John appears in two different modes:
John Jorgenson Electric Band
which sees John busy on the electric guitar, accompanied by a splendid rhythm section that moves easily between rock, blues, country and many other styles, and is normally formed by
- Alan Thomson, Scottish bassist who has played in the band since 2002, after having been a member of “John Martyn's Band” for many years, as well as a skilled singer-songwriter. For several years he has been permanently involved band by Martin Barre (ex Jethro Tull).
- Cesare Valbusa, Italian drummer, also with John since 2002, after having been part of the "Rudy Rotta Blues Band" in the 80s.
- Franz Bazzani, skilled Italian pianist and keyboardist, who has also collaborated for a long time with Luca Olivieri and has performed with many artists including Bobby Solo, Bruno Marini, James Burton, Jerry Donahue, Tommy Emmanuel and Johnny Hiland.
Update of 31 Marzo 2025: On this occasion, Due to an unexpected commitment that will not allow Alan Thomson to be in Soave, The role of bassist will be played by the talented Alessandro Tosi, Veronese musician of great experience, who will certainly know how to make honor!
